Course Overview

Introduces the basic concepts and terms in Cost Accounting. And also covers the difference between other branches of Accounting.
Contents of the course are as below

1. Introduction
This module covers the definition of cost accounting, cost accountancy and objectives, scopes of cost accountancy

2. Accounting Concepts
This module covers differences between Financial and Cost Accounting, advantages and limitations of Cost Accounting and the meaning of elements of cost

3. Elements of Cost
In this module we have covered different elements of cost

4. Classification of Cost
In this module, we tried to explain the methods of cost and illustrations which includes FIFO and LIFO.

Approach is to explain in conversational/colloquial Kannada to reinforce the learning and for better understanding.
